Merlin Olsen Day of Service
September 15, 2025Sigma Chi InternationalLocal Sigma Chi alumni come together every September to celebrate the Merlin Olsen Day of Service, a fraternity-wide tradition held each year on September 15 in honor of Brother Merlin Olsen, Utah State 1962 — NFL Hall of Famer, broadcaster, philanthropist, and a lifelong servant to others.
This year’s focus highlights Sigma Chi’s new partnership with the American Red Cross, giving us the chance to support blood drives and community relief efforts alongside other meaningful local projects. Whether lending a hand at a neighborhood clean-up, volunteering with a local food bank, or helping the Red Cross serve our community, there’s a way for every brother to get involved.
Mark your calendar, bring your family, and join us in honoring Merlin’s spirit of service. Together, we can make a visible difference right here in our own backyard.
